The search in SharePoint 2010 is more powerful and stable than what we have in MOSS. No doubt on that. In this post I would like to discuss about two points:
1) The common error the developers have: “this site is not assigned to an indexer”
2) How to display all the site collection where the users have access

For this error the normal posts you can find in the net tell you to configure the search server in the Content Database settings of the web application. That’s true, of course, but you have to understand why (and if) you need to do that.
